Our Club Officials for 2023
We’re delighted to introduce you to our 2023 Club Officials, who will each bring their own passion towards continuing the growth of Hallowes Golf Club.
Men’s Captain – Mark Cooper
I have been at Hallowes for 48 years now, joining on my 14th birthday. I’ve seen many changes to the club and course through this time but for me, Hallowes is currently the best in the area.
It’s moving forward year by year with great developments courtesy of our skilled greenstaff and the future for this golf club has never looked better.
My personal goal is to keep the club moving forward, following the golfing success of recent years and to improve the facilities as we continue to build a top golf course that makes guests want to visit and members proud to be here.
Ladies Captain – Claire Swallow
I have been involved with Hallowes at a social level for 37 years and a playing member for 7 years. The club has been part of our family life for this entire time, and it has been the source of many long-term friendships.
I’m looking forward to my year as Ladies Captain, where I am keen to continue the growth of the Ladies membership and I hope to make it enjoyable whilst continuing to integrate the Ladies section into the golf club as a whole.
Club President – Martin Peace
I have been a member for 20 years, however in the last few years alone I have seen the course improved to a fantastic standard. I think the course and particularly the greens are second to none in the whole area (and we have plenty of competition around). I think the course looks prettier than ever and yet it’s a true test of your best golfing skills.
I also feel we have made forward strides inside the clubhouse creating a nice friendly atmosphere, a great bar and catering facilities all making the 19th hole a great place to be!
I hope that in my year as President we can patiently build on the great work that has already been done by Geoff, Dave, the board and the whole membership.
Welfare Officer – Jacqui Lomas
I have responsibility for the safety and welfare of children and adults within the golf club, either members, staff or visitors.
