Ladies' Membership

The ladies’ section at Hallowes Golf Club, is an important part of the club and one that we are incredibly proud of.  We are signed in to England Golf’s Women in Golf charter and through this we run starter sessions for ladies new to golf who want to learn this great game. Because of this our numbers are increasing and new ladies are joining us every year.  We’re passionate about growing the game for ladies and part of a new-to-golf journey would be to have starter sessions at the club.

Our starter sessions involve coaching from our Club Professional, John Oates, and the chance to meet and mix with some of the lady members. After this there is the option to join as an Academy Member; membership of this runs for a year and includes group sessions with more coaching and the chance to experience the course as well.  We are open and welcoming to new academy members but equally for experienced lady golfers who want to test their skills on our challenging, yet attractive golf course.

We believe in taking a modern approach to golf and as such all our full playing members have equal access to the course at weekends as well as weekdays, which makes us an ideal club for working as well as non-working ladies. We run a number of inclusive club competitions as well as separate ladies and gents competitions. One new competition introduced in 2022 has been the introduction of a 4 Ball Better Ball competition, which has been open to all men, ladies and mixed combinations.
